Fresh from his victory at Misano and the announcement he is to join BMW for next year’s World Superbike Championship, Ruben Xaus has said he thinks that having twice WSB champ Troy Corser as a team-mate would be an excellent idea.
The Spaniard, who currently rides for the Sterilgarda Ducati team, has the fickle Max Biaggi alongside him at the present time, but would welcome Corser’s experience too.
"I don’t know if Corser is coming or not," said Xaus If he does, then it’ll be great because he’s a champion with a lot of experience and ability in developing the bike. We’d make a great pair of riders."
The speculation over Corser’s switch to BMW has been rife since the German firm announced it’s intention to join the WSB paddock - and the Aussie can’t be happy with his results on the Yamaha this season.
