After four years on a Honda, Xavi Vierge is attempting to make his way onto a Ducati Panigale V4 R for the 2026 season.
For the past four World Superbike seasons, Xavi Vierge has been racing for the factory Team HRC squad on a Honda CBR1000RR-R.
However, it has now been reported that he has no future with the Japanese manufacturer, and he has been searching for a future away from the Honda Racing Corporation.
After being rejected by the factory Yamaha and BMW World Superbike squads, Vierge has now set his sights on a move to a satellite Ducati team.
The Spaniard met with representatives from the Team Pata GoEleven squad to try and swoop in on a deal with the Italian squad.
It was previously believed that Dominique Aegerter would end up on GoEleven's Ducati Panigale V4 R after being replaced by Stefano Manzi at the GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team.
But the Swiss riders' negotiations with the Italian team have stalled as he can't sign the deal, as he is waiting to find the budget that he needs to join the satellite Ducati squad.
Vierge has seen his opportunity and is now trying to find the budget to join the GoEleven squad to join his current teammate, Iker Lecuona, on a Ducati Panigale V4 R.
The next week will be crucial when deciding the future of the Team Pata GoEleven squad and the futures of Dominique Aegerter and Xavi Vierge.
