Brands BSB: Kennedy ‘ready as ever’ as BSS racing resumes

Mar-Train Yamaha’s Jack Kennedy is raring to go as the Quattro British Supersport Championship resumes this weekend at Brands Hatch.

After a well-deserved, relaxing family holiday, the defending champion is fighting fit and ready to get back to business for round five in a bid to extend his dominant advantage.

The Dubliner head to Brands 64 points clear of fellow R6 rider Harry Truelove, after securing five wins and two second place finishes from the opening eight races, and aiming to showcase another strong performance this weekend.

“I’m really excited and eager to get back racing,” Kennedy said after the break. "It has felt like a long time since I was last racing the Mar-Training Yamaha R6. I really enjoyed the break, but at the same time I’ve really missed racing, especially during the last couple of weeks.

“I cannot wait to get back, especially to Brands Hatch and get back in amongst it with the team, who will no doubt have the bike set-up dialled in and ready to go.

“Training has been going really well for me at home and I’ll be ready as ever come Friday’s first practice session.”
