Kennedy returned to British Supersport for the 2024 season after a year in British Superbikes. However, it was a perfect decision from Kennedy as he claimed another title.

Honda Racing UK signed Kennedy for the 2024 season and has been rewarded as Honda won their first British Supersport Championship since Sam Lowes in 2010.

After winning the Championship Kennedy said: "I am absolutely lost for words. I did not expect this today, I said to everybody 'The Championship can't be won today it is too close'. I am not sure how this has all happened, I think it all started from Qualifying and onwards.

"Massive thanks to the Honda team, I get to show my class on the track but I wouldn't be able to do it without them. It is down to the last-minute decisions for me and how quickly they can turn things around, I have changed my mind so much this weekend with the weather.

"It was a brave tyre choice to go with rain tyres in that race because it wasn't even wet when we rolled out. But I could see more rain coming and I was screaming to myself in my helmet saying 'Yes we have made the right choice!' I knew I just wanted to play a safe race, I felt like I was riding safe but my gap kept going up and up."
