Two manufacturers are set to 'formalise offers' for Toprak Razgatlioglu

Gold & Goose

Toprak Razgatlioglu could be on his way to Yamaha or Honda, according to the latest reports from the World Superbike paddock.

The latest reports from Toprak Razgatlioglu's manager, Kenan Sofuoglu, suggest that two rival manufacturers will offer the two-time World Superbike Champion big-money offers.

The first offers that Razgatlioglu is set to receive are from Honda, but the Japanese manufacturer is reportedly willing to offer him two different deals depending on his decision for the future.

If Razgatlioglu decides to stay in World Superbike for the next few years, the Turkish rider will be offered a lucrative two-year contract from the Japanese manufacturer.

The second option that Honda is set to offer to Razgatlioglu includes a path to MotoGP. The Turkish rider would be given a year in World Superbikes in 2026, with MotoGP tests with a clear objective to get him to MotoGP for 2027.

Honda is eager for some World Superbike success as they have not won a race in the class since 2016 when Nicky Hayden won in Malaysia.

The 28-year-old is also eager to make his way to MotoGP as it has been a dream of his to do so.

However, Honda is not the only MotoGP manufacturer that is eager to acquire to services of Toprak Razgatlioglu.

Could Yamaha swoop back in for Toprak?

Two years ago, Yamaha and Toprak Razgatlioglu completed some rather unsatisfactory tests, which led the Turkish rider to move to BMW for the 2024 World Superbike season.

However, since Paolo Pavesio arrived as the director of Yamaha's MotoGP project, it appears that the door has opened for a potential reunion between the Japanese manufacturer and Razgatlioglu.

Yamaha and Razgatlioglu won the 2021 World Superbike Championship together, and could now contend for the MotoGP title together.

If he did decide to sign for Yamaha, Razgatlioglu would join the MotoGP World Championship next season in the Prima Pramac Yamaha Team.

The two-time World Superbike Champion would be offered full factory support in Pramac, like Jorge Martin was offered by Ducati in 2024.

When will Razgatlioglu's future be decided?

Sofuoglu insists that he had productive meetings with both Yamaha and Honda at the Dutch World Superbike Round at Assen.

He also believes that Razgatlioglu's future will be decided after this weekend's Italian World Superbike Round at Cremona.

There is potential that we may know the Turkish rider's future at the Czech Republic World Superbike Round later this month.
