Toprak Razgatlioglu's imminent future has been decided amid growing speculation he is set to announce a switch to the MotoGP World Championship in 2026.
The two-time WorldSBK Champion is strongly rumoured to have inked a deal that will see him return to the Yamaha fold with a seat in its satellite Pramac Racing outfit for the 2026 MotoGP season.
The latest talk suggests a deal will be confirmed in time for either the next round of WorldSBK at Misano or the Italian MotoGP at Mugello later this month.
While both Toprak Razgatlioglu and Yamaha have remained silent on the matter, the Turkish rider's manager Kenan Sofuoglu has revealed a deal for 2026 has been signed, albeit without mentioning whether it would be in WorldSBK or MotoGP.
"Toprak has signed a contract which will make everyone happy," the five-time WorldSSP and ex-Moto2 rider told GPOne.

Razgatlioglu chooses Yamaha return for MotoGP debut
Any deal to join MotoGP next season represents an about-turn for Razgatlioglu having put his aspirations to step up to the premier class on hold in the wake of his 2021 WorldSBK title with Yamaha, in favour of a switch to BMW.
Back in 2022, Razgatlioglu completed two tests for Yamaha on its MotoGP machine with a view to assessing a potential move to MotoGP, but a lukewarm response from management and a concern over adapting his unique riding style to suit the rigours of the bike led to uncertainty.
With MotoGP seemingly off the table, Razgatlioglu subsequently penned a surprise deal to join BMW in WorldSBK for 2024, a manufacturer that at the time had achieved just one race win in 11 years.
However, Razgatlioglu would steamroll his way to a second career WorldSBK title with 18 victories, achieving his targets of turning BMW into world champions sooner than anticipated.
With this in mind and with MotoGP on the cusp of regulation changes for 2027 - including a reduction of engine size from 1000cc to 850cc and a switch from Michelin to more familiar Pirelli tyres - it appears Razgatlioglu's desire to compete in MotoGP has been reignited.

The deal with Pramac Yamaha - which would see Razgatlioglu rejoin the Iwata marque after leading the team to a vast amount of success in WorldSBK between 2020 and 2023 - does represent a compromise of sorts, however.
Indeed, Sofuoglu had regularly talked up that Razgatlioglu would only switch to MotoGP on a full factory machine, an offer that gave further credence to Yamaha since it didn't have a satellite operation at the time.
This time around, however, Razgatlioglu looks set to replace Miguel Oliveira in the Pramac Racing team - currently in its first year as a Yamaha partner - but will get access to a factory M1.
