Alessandro Delbianco could make a return to the World Superbike Championship with the Team Pata GoEleven squad.
Arguably, the most sought-after Independent Superbike ride that is available for the 2025 World Superbike Championship is in the Team Pata GoEleven squad.
Currently, Andrea Iannone rides for the Italian team, but it seems unlikely that the Italian rider will re-sign with the team for a third season.
With a Ducati Panigale V4 R up for grabs, several names have been linked to the bike, from six-time Champion Jonathan Rea to World Supersport rider Jaume Masia.
However, at the Emilia-Romagna World Superbike Round, a new name started doing the rounds for the Team Pata GoEleven squad.
It has been reported by GPOne that former World Superbike rider, and current CIV Italian Superbike Championship leader, Alessandro Delbianco, is in the running to grab the independent Ducati.
The 27-year-old only got one full season in the World Superbike Championship as he participated in the 2019 World Superbike Championship with the Althea MIE Racing Team.
During the 2019 season, the Italian finished the season in 18th place with 29 points and a best race finish of ninth place at Donington Park.
Since his one season in the class, the Italian has been a replacement rider for MIE in 2021, Pedercini Kawasaki in 2022, and the GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team in 2024.
Contact has been made between the Team Pata GoEleven squad and Delbianco, but no deal has been made; however, these rumours could evolve over the next few weeks.
It appears that Gianni Ramello may take a gamble with Delbianco for 2026, as it would allow his team to retain the Pata sponsorship that they gained at the start of the 2025 season.
