The bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team will experience their first weekend at Donington Park, with Alex Lowes heading home on the KB998 Rimini.
This weekend marks Alex Lowes' first home World Superbike round as a bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team rider.
The British rider has been on a good run in the 2025 season with the Italian manufacturer as he has had eight top ten finishes, including a podium, in his first half season with the KB998 Rimini.
Ahead of the United Kingdom World Superbike Round, Lowes is optimistic that his new machine will be suitable for Donington Park's circuit layout.
In recent years, Lowes has had success with the Kawasaki Racing Team on the ZX-10RR as he finished second, fifth and third across the 2024 United Kingdom Round.
"Donington is always a fantastic weekend in the season," Lowes said.
"It looks like the weather is going to be typical English sunshine. The track itself is great fun. The first section is one of the best to ride in the whole calendar; you can really flow with the bike and enjoy it.
"The last start/stop sector is important for battling in the race and also for setting a fast lap time in qualifying. I’m optimistic the bimota KB998 Rimini is going to suit the layout.
"It is a home race for me but nothing changes in terms of our goals, which are to work hard Friday and set ourselves up for the best race weekend possible."
Going into the second half of the 2025 World Superbike Championship, Lowes finds himself in seventh place in the standings with a best result of second and 85 points to his name.
