Gold & Goose

This weekend marks the start of the second half of the 2025 World Superbike season, and Sam Lowes' home round.

Sam Lowes has been on a positive run of form in recent World Superbike Rounds for the ELF Marc VDS Racing Team.

The British rider has been inside the top ten in the last eight races across three rounds at Cremona, Most and Misano.

This weekend, he arrives home at the United Kingdom World Superbike Round at Donington Park, a track where he struggled in his rookie season in 2024.

Lowes failed to finish two of the races at Donington Park last season, but finished 13th in the final race of the weekend. With further experience in the World Superbike Championship, Lowes is expecting to be in the fight for podiums.

"I’m so excited to be racing at Donington Park this weekend," Lowes said.

"Racing in front of the British fans is something very special, and I’ve always been given great support from the home crowd. Donington is very close to where I live, so I really hope I can put on a performance and come away with strong results.

"Last year was the first time I’d raced at Donington since 2013, yet I still managed to qualify in fourth position, but the races were quite difficult. This year, I know more what to expect and my aim is to have three top five finishes and hopefully be in the fight for the podium.

"The weather looks like it is going to be amazing, so I can’t wait to get going."

After six rounds of the 2025 World Superbike Championship, Sam Lowes finds himself sixth in the standings with a single podium and 124 points to his name.
