After suffering injuries at the Pirelli Emilia-Romagna World Superbike Round, Dominique Aegerter will return at Donington Park.
This weekend, Dominique Aegerter will return to the track at the United Kingdom World Superbike Round.
Aegerter suffered an 'anterior neck wound and left knee contusion' at the Pirelli Emilia-Romagna World Superbike Round.
The Swiss rider crashed on the opening lap of the opening race of the weekend in an incident with Bathattin Sofuoglu.
"It feels great to be racing again after Misano," Aegerter said.
"I’ve used the break to fully recover, and now I feel good physically and ready to get back on the Yamaha R1. Donington is a special track, and I’ve had good results here in the past.
"Hopefully the weather stays stable, but we’re prepared for anything—this is the UK, after all!"
Aegerter sits 15th in the 2025 World Superbike Championship for the GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team; he has a best result of seventh place and 49 points to his name.
In the past, Aegerter has had success at Donington Park as he finished eighth, ninth and 11th at the United Kingdom Round last season.
