'We need to be patient' - Alex Lowes is unsure of bimota's potential at Aragon

Gold & Goose

Alex Lowes believes he needs to be patient this weekend at MotorLand Aragon, as he is unsure of bimota's potential.

This weekend, Alex Lowes will be back in action at the Aragon World Superbike Round for the tenth round of the 2025 season.

The bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team riders were able to test their KB998 Rimini's at the Circuito de Jerez - Angel Nieto in early September, and have tested at MotorLand Aragon in late August.

Lowes and bimota have had a successful debut season with the KB998 Rimini throughout the 2025 season, and have come off the back of their best weekend of the year at Magny-Cours.

The British rider currently finds himself seventh in the 2025 World Superbike Championship after nine race weekends. Lowes picked up his first podium with bimota at Misano in the sixth round of the season, and secured three further third places last time out at the French World Superbike Round.

Despite coming off his best race weekend of the season and a day of testing at Jerez, the 35-year-old is unsure what results he can secure this weekend at MotorLand Aragon.

"I’m really focused on enjoying our weekend in Motorland," Lowes stated ahead of the Aragon World Superbike Round.

"We know that our target is to get the maximum from me and our package. We don’t know what our results can be, so we have to work well from FP1 on Friday, have a good plan, and then see where we are.

"We need to be patient on certain parts of the track and use the KB998’s strengths in the other parts. That is our target for the weekend."
