Final results from the first day of running at the two-day WorldSBK test at Portimao.
Alex Lowes was the only rider to lap in the 1:40s and topped the opening day of this week's Portimao WorldSBK test. Nicolo Bulega and Sam Lowes completed the top-three and were split by only 0.001 seconds.
Miguel Oliveira was the fastest BMW rider in fourth, ahead of the second factory Ducati of Iker Lecuona in fifth.
BMW test rider Michael van der Mark was ahead of Danilo Petrucci as BMW put two more bikes in the first seven positions. Axel Bassani and HRC test rider Jonathan Rea also featured in the top-10.
Jake Dixon was absent for Honda as he continues to recover from the injuries he sustained in testing in Australia. Somkiat Chantra was back in action for the first time since his crash at Sepang in January and was 15th.
Tommy Bridewell and the Superbike Advocates team were present as well ahead of their 2026 debut at the Portuguese Round on 27-29 March, finishing 17th. They also took the chance in Portimao to unveil their livery for the season.
BSB Champion Kyle Ryde is also in Portimao for the test ahead of the start of official BSB testing in April.
