Wigan’s Josh Daley has switched from the Pirelli National Superstock 600 into the Supersport Evo class just one week before the season opening MCE British Superbike meeting at Brands Hatch.
Daley will ride for the Intek Adhesives/SGR Racing team, run by Steve Kinghorn, after another deal fell through and it looked like he would again be running himself.
“It’s good news to get sorted out with Steve and Intek Adhesives/SGR Racing team a week before the season begins. Luck never usually goes my way so it was quite a surprise for me. We thought we were going to have to run ourselves this year and so to get the chance to join a team is a brilliant,” said Daley.
“It’s pressure off me and my dad, and it’s great to be surrounded by other people who can help us. It’s the perfect news so close to the start of the season. I’m really excited about joining the championship. My aims are simply to qualify first of all, but then I want to get quicker and quicker so can be chasing top 10 finishes by the end of the season.”
