Mar-Train Yamaha's Alistair Seeley topped the Motorpoint British Supersport test session with a lap of 46.783 seconds, just six thousands of a second shy of Billy McConnell's outright lap record.
The Northern Irishman comes in to this year as favourite for the title after finishing runner-up in 2013. Profile Triumph's Luke Stapleford was 0.052 seconds behind the pace of Seeley, putting his promising pre-season pace into practice around the Brands Hatch Indy circuit.
Smiths Triumph's Graeme Gowland and Billy McConnell were third and fourth quickest, the pair both within a tenth of the pace setter. Techcare Triumph's Luke Mossey, fresh from his top 15 placing at the Daytona 200, ended the test in fifth.
Newly crowned Superstock 600 champion, Luke Hedger, enjoyed his first outing on the Gearlink Kawasaki at Brands Hatch, finishing just under half a second adrift of Seeley in sixth place. Sam Hornsey leaped up to seventh place with his last lap of the session on his Anvil Hire TAG Triumph.
Tyco Suzuki's Taylor Mackenzie ended in eighth place ahead of Appleyard Macadam new-boy Jake Dixon. Rounding out the top ten was Gearlink Kawasaki's Glenn Irwin.
