Steve Brogan has been forced to withdraw his two-man squad from the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 championship due to lack of funds.

The likeable scouser has been struggling since title sponsor Direct CCTV withdrew their support at Oulton Park, carrying on with Victor Cox and Adam Jenkinson but felt that at Brands Hatch the team could not continue.

“I have desperately tried to honour my commitment to both riders and our team’s other sponsors to keep them out there for the last three meetings,” said Brogan.

“Both the riders and myself feel we cannot continue due to a lack of spares and all the other resources needed to continue at the professional level required to win races. I really hope to get Team SBR back out before the end of the season.”
