Former Superstock rider gets full-time BSB debut in 2026

British Superbike Championship

NP Racing has confirmed it will run Connor Thomson in the 2026 BSB season.

Thomson had competed in the 2024 National Superstock Championship before being called up by NP to race in the Superbike class at the final round of the season that year. A 2025 followed with no British Championship racing for Thomson, but he will return to the Superbike class with the team that gave him his first shot at the top level of BSB from the first round at Oulton Park on 3–5 May.

“Getting to be on the Superbike grid for my debut season in BSB is a moment I’ve worked towards for so many years,” said Thomson.

“This year is all about growth, learning every session, improving every lap, and building strong momentum with the team.

“I’m focused on making consistent progress, staying composed under pressure, and giving everything I have every time I roll out of the garage.

“This is just the beginning, and I’m ready to embrace the challenge.”

NP Racing team owner Neil Pearson added: “When Connor [Thomson] wildcarded for the team in 2024, he showed grit and determination on the mammoth task he undertook.

“I am pleased to welcome him back to the team and give him a chance to show what he can do over a full season, with the opportunity to grow and progress at each round.

“We both know this is a 'David and Goliath' situation as it is never easy in this championship, but the team are more determined than ever to make the 2026 season a great one.”
