Hundreds of people packed into the beautiful Howden Minster to pay their final respects to the much loved Karl ‘Bomber’ Harris who sadly lost his life at the Isle of Man TT on the June 3.
People from the world of motocross and road racing came to pay their respects to the 34 year old. From road racing Billy McConnell, David Johnson, Chris Martin, Joe and Lee Dickinson, Neil Tuxworth, Stuart Higgs, Nick Medd, Shaun Muir, Simon Birchall, Mick Shanley, Mark Davis, James and Dean Ellison, Doublered, Michael Howarth, Steve Plater, Tony Carter, Ian Hutchinson, Jim Moodie, Lee Johnston and Kieran Clarke plus representatives from Motobreakers Kawasaki, SMT, PR Racing, Be Wiser Kawasaki, HM Plant Honda, Tingsao.
From MX various riders attended including Brad Anderson, Ryan Voase and various members of the LPE team.
Readings were done by the vicar, close family friend Willie, and a tribute from BSB commentator Fred Clarke plus a tribute written by Leon Haslam read by Fred. The service was followed by a burial and then the Motobreakers team had a display of Karl’s old bikes, race leathers, trophies and helmets at the Bowman’s pub.
