Appleyard Yamaha’s Jake Dixon has a brace of new motors for his Motorpoint British Supersport R6 at this weekend’s Brands Hatch round and hopes they will bring some added top-end speed.
Brands is the most local round the 18-year-old and last year he secured his first ever British Supersport pole position around the GP circuit. The youngster who gained two solid results at the previous round at Knockhill with fifth and fourth places.
“I feel really good and fit for this weekend as I’ve been training hard since Knockhill. The team have worked also been working all ours on some new motors for us which in turn should give us some more top end speed,” said Dixon.
“I know they will have provided me a good package for here and I can’t wait to try it out. I managed to secure my strongest results on the GP circuit last season and really will be pushing hard to try and gain my first podium finish.”
