CF Motorsport’s Kyle Ryde claimed Motorpoint British Supersport pole in sensational style, blitzing Alastair Seeley’s previous fastest ever lap from the summer of 2011 by a quarter of a second.
The talented teenager ended the session with a lap time of 46.242, quicker than Josh Elliot’s Superstock 1000 lap record.
Alongside him on the grid for this afternoon’s sprint race will be Gearlink Kawasaki’s Glenn Irwin, after the Northern Irishman also dipped below the former fastest ever lap.

Donington race winner Jake Dixon fronts the second row of the grid, after leaping above fellow Triumph rider Sam Hornsey in the closing stages of the session.
Team Traction Control’s Andy Reid rounds out the second row of the grid, which is covered by just over half a second.
American James Rispoli ended the session 0.016 of a second behind his teammate Reid and therefore fronts the third row of the grid.
Rounding out the third row for this afternoon’s sprint race will be top EVO rider Joe Collier and Appleyard Macadam’s Danny Webb.
