Cash-strapped Motorpoint British Supersport star Glenn Irwin is in need of a funding boost in order to help him finish his season with the Gearlink Kawasaki team.
After securing a trio of podiums in the series this season and accumulating enough points to sit in fifth place in the points table, the Irishman needs to make his last payment for his ride so has set up a SoFund account.
“Racing is becoming more difficult in this day and age, as to race most riders need to fund their Championship, this year I have been really lucky to secure the backing from MET Healthcare who have kindly funded three-wuaters of my season so far but now I’m in desperate need for funding for the next few rounds,” said the youngster.
"All my personal sponsors have been brilliant but I need to pay my third instalment now to the team and really don’t want to miss out on any of the rounds. I would be grateful to anyone who could support me on my new SoFund page for the rest of the season.
“I want to carry on getting podiums for the Gearlink Kawasaki team and hope with the public’s support I will be able to do this. I’d like to thank everyone in advance and also to those who have donated so far it’s much appreciated.”
