Former British 125cc Champion Dan Cooper will make a full time return to short circuit competition next year with the Stroud rider confirming he’ll contest the 2019 Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship.
The 31-year old will ride a BMW S1000RR in the 11-round series with backing from local company Impcross Engineering whilst he will also make his annual visit to the Isle of Man TT races where he will contest the Superbike, Senior and Superstock races on the distinctive purple-liveried machines.
“It’s been a good few years since I contested a full season in the British Championships so I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into the Superstock class," said Cooper.
"It’s one of the toughest series on the calendar with full grids and a healthy blend of youth and experience so I’m under no illusions about the difficulty of the task ahead but it’s a challenge I’m relishing and looking forward to.
"There are many top riders in the class but the BMW is a great bike so with a great team behind me, including the increased support from Impcross Engineering, I’m confident we can give a good account of ourselves.”
