Danny Webb moves to Appleyard in British Supersport

Former Moto3 contender Danny Webb has signed for the Appleyard Macadam Yamaha squad for a crack at the 2015 Motorpoint British Supersport title.

Following a tough foray into World Supersport in 2013, Webb has opted to remain Britain this season and get some consistent results in the hotly-contested class after a difficult debut year in 214. He will be joined in the team by Harry Hartley.

“I’m really happy to be riding for the Appleyard Macadam team. It means a lot that the team believe in me and are giving me a chance to challenge for the British supersport Championship. I’m looking forward to testing and getting to know the team and how they work,” said Webb.

“We’ll need to build up throughout testing and be ready for the first round at Donington. The main aim is get some strong results throughout the year but mainly to be consistent. We have to see what position we’re in after testing and go from there, but I’m sure we will be a strong team together. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me and those that made this opportunity happen.”

Webb will also ride for Ryan Farquhar’s team on the roads in 2015.
