Davey Todd will return to the National Superstock Championship with his sights set firmly on regaining his title after penning a deal with Cheshire Mouldings TAS Racing BMW for the 2024 season.
Todd, considered one of the UK's brightest hopes both in short circuit competition and on the roads, heads back to the series he clinched in 2022 with Milenco by Padgetts Honda after a bit-part campaign competing in the Superbike class.
Having already taken in two BSB events with TAS Racing on its Milwaukee-sponsored M 1000 RR, Todd is excited by the prospect of challenging for a second domestic title in the same class but on a different machine.
“I’m really looking forward to the season ahead with TAS Racing on the Cheshire Mouldings BMW M 1000 RR in the National Superstock class.
"I will be giving my all to put in a strong title challenge in the championship. I’m sure Rory and I will enjoy working together in the TAS garage and I’m just looking forward to getting on track and putting some miles in."
As part of Todd's dual-purpose deal with TAS Racing - which celebrates its 25th Anniversary as a team this season - he will also represent the team on the M 1000 RR at the Isle of Man TT and North West 200.
“The deal with Davey was already in place from the end of last year, but we would like to thank him for taking on the Superstock role, after we had initially discussed Superbike for him," said TAS Racing team principal Philip Neill.
". "It shows his level of commitment and professionalism, but there are also many positives to take from it on a technical level, as he is in the unique position of having to mix British championship and International Road Racing this season.
"I’m sure he will have big aspirations of winning the title aboard the Cheshire Mouldings BMW.”
TAS Racing will be represented by 2022 BSB Title Showdown contender Rory Skinner on the full-spec Superbike BMW M 1000 RR
