Davey Todd will begin his preparations for the 2024 Isle of Man TT by making a guest outing in the British Supersport class at the upcoming curtain raiser to be held at the Navarra Circuit.
The 2022 National Superstock Champion returns to the category for 2024 after a brief foray into the premier domestic British Superbike class as he bids to secure his second title in three seasons aboard the Cheshire Mouldings BMW M 1000 RR prepared by TAS Racing.
However, with the Superstock class getting its season underway at Oulton Park next month, Todd will make a one-off outing among the Supersport ranks for its Spanish-based opener.
Riding the Powertoolmate Ducati Panigale V2, the event will act as a prelude to his upcoming attempt to return the Italian marque to success in the same class at the Isle of Man TT in June.
“I am really excited about racing at Navarra and the new venture with the Powertoolmate Ducati V2 for the roads season so to test and race it at Navarra will start us off on the right foot.
“The bike has already been proven so it is just me that has to gel and get used to the bike.
“I am looking forward to seeing how we get on at Navarra on the Ducati, it’s hopefully going to be a good one for sure.
“I need to say a special thanks to the Powertoolmate Ducati team for giving me this opportunity as I know it wasn’t in our original plan, but this is exciting for us all.”
