Dynavolt Triumph’s Brandon Paasch celebrated a double podium at Donington Park with two third positions from the Quattro Group British Supersport Championship races.
Strong from the lights in Sunday’s incident packed 24-lap battle, Paasch showed impressive pace, posting his fastest lap of the weekend to cross the line third, just 0.3s off the win.
The American, fresh from his debut podium in the class thanks to Saturday’s sprint race, is already brewing with confidence after the Derby weekend, and eager for more as the championship moves on to Cadwell in a few days time.
“Overall a pretty good race here at Donington Park,” Paasch admitted from the Derby track.
“Got my first podium in the Supersport class. Pretty happy with that. Another P3 today but much closer to the win,” Paasch said after Sunday’s race.
“That’s the closest I’ve been all year, that’s the closest I’ve been in a long time so we are definitely headed in the right direction.
“Right now I think it’s important to focus, get back to work and try to improve, try to keep going forward. The goal is to win races and we’re on our way so I’m happy with the progress.
“I’m confident again and feeling good with the bike so now it’s just a case of making some small changes, some small adjustments and see if we can improve just a little bit more and keep fighting at the front. Let’s go to Cadwell,” he concluded confidently.
“Another great podium for Brandon,” Dynavolt Triumph Team Manager Simon Buckmaster added.
“He was really fighting for the win, that’s an even better third place than yesterday. His confidence will grow from these two podiums so congratulations to him, Simon and George and everyone in the team.”
