Northern Escalator Installations Yamaha’s Adam Jenkinson claimed the first Pirelli National Superstock 1000 pole of the year and also the first pole position for Yamaha’s brand new R1 at Donington Park this afternoon.
The Mancunian’s lap of 1’32.219 grabbed him pole by just 0.048 of a second in the final session, ahead of Morello Racing’s Josh Elliot.
2013 Superstock 1000 champion Hudson Kennaugh rounds out a front row of the grid, which is covered by only 0.089 of a second.
Moto-Breakers Kawasaki’s James Rose fronts the second row of the grid on his class debut with former Superstock 1000 and Supersport Alastair Seeley starting from fifth on the grid on his Tyco BMW.
Reigning British Supersort EVO champion Alex Olsen rounds out the second row of the grid after leaping ahead of Doodson Kawasaki’s Tom Tunstall with the chequered flag out.
Eighth on the grid is Ben Godfrey and starting tomorrow’s opening round from ninth is Jones-Dorling Racing’s Ashley Beech.
