Integro Yamaha’s Jack Kennedy bagged pole for this afternoon’s Dickies British Supersport race after red flags delayed action.
Red flags were brought out with just a lap completed in the session after Richard Kerr took a spill at the Fogarty Esses, prompting marshals to assess track conditions.
Kennedy hit the top of the timesheets after bikes were sent back out, but Gearlink Kawasaki’s Ben Currie stuck in a 1’32.944 soon after, pushing the Irishman back to second.
But Kennedy powered to a late 1’32.435 to depose the German-born Australian and snatch pole position.
Fellow Integro Yamaha man Brad Jones looked to be on for a front-row start, but class returnee and multi-time Supersport runner-up James Westmoreland pipped him by just 0.001 seconds with just minutes to go in the session.
EHA Racing’s Ross Twyman will start on the middle of the second row, just ahead of Tsingtao Racing MV Augusta rider Joe Francis.
David Allingham, American James Rispoli and Bradley Perie complete the third row of the grid.
