Eighteen year-old Georgina Polden, will embark on a full season of the Hel British Motostar Championship this year as she builds on her impressive second place in the 2014 Aprilia Superteens, starting with this weekend’s Donington MCE BSB round.
The Oxford rider is still only in her third year of road racing and is already making a name for herself with impressive podium finishes resulting in her being tipped as one of the top female riders in the country.
Making the step up to Moto3 after competing in several rounds of the 125cc class last year, Georgina is hoping to attract attention from the Grand Prix teams as she continues in her quest to be the first British female rider at world championship level.
Having made the decision at the end of 2014 to concentrate on racing full time Georgina has spent the winter extensively preparing for her campaign which kicks off at Donington Park.
“I have spent a lot of time with my team, RS Racing and been very involved in the preparation of my KTM bike which was previously used by the Marc VDS team in Grands Prix”, said Polden.
“I now cannot wait for the first practice session to get underway and see where we are with the competition – my target is a top five championship position overall and hopefully more podiums to add to my two from last year.”
