Former MotoGP star and World Supersport race winner Anthony West has signed to join the Tsingtao MV Agusta British Supersport squad for the remainder of 2015 and will line-up alongside the returning Luke Jones at Silverstone this weekend.
West was on the Moto2 grid at the Northamptonshire circuit just a month ago and scored a top-ten finish but recently split with the QMMF team so team boss Dave Tyson snapped him up to ride with Jones who is coming back from injury this weekend.
“I’m really happy with the signing and shows the work the team has done to make the bike competitive. MV have given us some further support and we will have some more 2016 spec parts for Brands Hatch,” said Tyson.
“Running the 2016 Supersport rules will give us a great boost for next year and I am confident that Ant will be at the sharp end and show the potential of the bike.”
Keith Farmer, who stood in for Jones, will sit out this weekend but the team are building a bike for him to race at Brands Hatch.
