Jamie Hanks-Elliot has been announced for the Rev2Race Yamaha team in the new Junior Sportbike class in the BSB paddock.
Hanks-Elliot arrives in Junior Sportbike after a season away from the BSB paddock, competing solely in the WorldWCR series within the WorldSBK paddock in 2025. There, she rode a Yamaha R7, of course, in the one-make women’s championship, and it will be on R7 machinery that she competes again in the new Junior Sportbike class that was announced at the end of last year, coming in in-place of the Kawasaki Superteens series.
Hanks-Elliot’s most recent experience may be in WorldWCR, where she contested the first two seasons with Sekhmet Racing and then in her own Hanks Racing squad, but she also has previous experience in the BSB paddock, having competed in the Junior Supersport class and the BMW F 900 R Cup. Moving back to the BSB paddock for this year is something she’s optimistic about.
“I’m really excited to be joining the Rev2Race team this year in the Junior Sportbike Championship,” said Hanks-Elliot.
“After a year away from BSB competing in the Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship, I’m looking forward to being back in the BSB paddock, and I’d like to thank Kev and the whole team for giving me this opportunity.
“I’m privileged to be working with such an experienced team and can’t wait to get to work on the Rev2Race Yamaha R7. I truly believe I have the right people around me to achieve some strong results, and I’m putting in the work over the winter to make that happen.”
Rev2Race Racing Academy Team Principal, Kev Stephenson, added: “We’re really pleased to confirm that Jamie Hanks-Elliot will be joining us for 2026 to take on the new Junior Sportbike Championship.
“The Yamaha R7 has shown over the past few seasons that it’s a very solid and competitive package in the Pirelli National Sportbike Championship, so we feel it gives us a great platform heading into this project.
“Jamie brings a huge amount of experience with her, particularly on the R7 at world level last year, where she showed real speed and consistency.
“There’s still some time before we get on track and start testing, but both Jamie and the team are already putting in a lot of work behind the scenes to make sure we’re as prepared as possible.
“There’s a real sense of excitement surrounding the brand-new championship for 2026, and we’re excited to be part of it from the very start.”
