Reigning Irish Supersport Champion Carl Phillips has signed to ride alongside Andrew Irwin in the MWR Motorsport team as they contest the 2015 Pirelli National Superstock series.

The partnership sees the team with its strongest 600 lineup yet with both riders confident of mounting a serious championship challenge. The pair will be using Kawasaki ZX-6R machinery and should be right on the pace from the word go after completion of pre-season testing.

“It’s great and I am delighted to get the opportunity to ride for MWR Motorsports. I have been training hard over the last few months and can’t wait for the season to start. I have new personal sponsors onboard as well as those who have been supporting me through the last few years. Without them this would not happen. I know I have the pace to run at the front in this class and am ready for the most important season yet for me,” said Phillips.

Irwin added: “I am very pleased to announce that I will continue with MWR Motorsports for a secnd season. The team have made a few key personnel additions and I feel this is the perfect place for me to be to fight for the title, credit to Mark Webster. I am training harder than ever, nobody wants it more than me this year.
