Reigning British GP2 champion Mason Law will remain in the Spirit Moto Corsa Team to defend his title in 2021.
The Benfleet racer posted foyr wins from his seven podiums during a shortened six-round campaign in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic but is now looking to make this season the one to remember.
“Yeah, I’m really pleased to announce the news that I will be re-joining the team for the 2021 GP2 season in British Championship as part of the whole BSB set-up," said Law.
"Last season we were very much developing and racing the bike at each and every round, so to win the championship over a much shorter distance, for me, was a great achievement.
“There’s still plenty of work and improvement that can come from the package for this season. Obviously, the next couple of months are very important in terms of development, then hopefully we can kick-on and use the recently announced official tests as the platform for a strong and successful defence of the championship.
"That begins at Oulton Park, which produced two podiums and a win last season, so more of the same would be a great way to start this year’s campaign.”
“We have a new title sponsor this year in Chedington [Estate in Dorset – www.chedington.co.uk] and the goal as a team is to have an increased presence both in the paddock for our sponsors, and hopefully on track with plenty of top results and media exposure.
"The GP2 class continues to grow in stature within British championship racing and to be the champions again in 2021 is the optimum goal for us all.”
