Luke Mossey will join the Pirelli National Superstock Championship this season, reuniting with the Bournemouth Kawasaki Racing with HEL Performance team, who he has previously celebrated success with in the Superbike class.
Mossey and Bournemouth Kawasaki have been race winners in Superbike, with the team lifting the Bennetts BSB title in 2018 with Leon Haslam.
However they decided to take a break from racing last year to concentrate on expanding their Kawasaki retail business, but now Owner Pete Extance has jumped at the opportunity to work with Mossey again to represent Kawasaki in the Superstock class with the all-new 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10RR.
“I can’t thank Pete and Bournemouth Kawasaki enough for helping out this season. It was not looking like a ride was available for the start of the championship, so to sort this out at the eleventh hour is fantastic," said Mossey.
“I really loved my time with Bournemouth Kawasaki during the four years I was with them in Superbikes. I felt we had a chance of fighting for the title together in BSB, until a huge highside at Thruxton left me with an injury when I had been leading the Championship.
“Superstock 1000 will be a new challenge for me and one that I am really excited about on the new Kawasaki ZX10RR; we have had a few rides on the 19 RR stock model and I can’t wait to get out on the new bike. Thanks again to the Pete and the team and my loyal sponsors who have stood by me.”
