Dan Linfoot bounced back from his first race crash to dominate the second Pirelli National Superstock Championship race of the weekend at Brands Hatch.

The Optimum Bikes Honda rider defeating Alex Olsen (Cumins by Team IWR Honda) by almost three seconds with Alastair Seeley (Synetiq BMW) taking third.

Joe Talbot (JR Performance Racing Honda) grabbed the initiative off the line and together with Linfoot, Seeley and Richard Kerr (AMD Motorsport Honda) made an early break, the quartet opening up a half second advantage over the chasing pack, which was led by Olsen.

Lap three saw one of the fancied runners, Billy McConnell (C&L Fairburn Properties/Jackson Racing Honda), crash on the exit of Druids and by then, Linfoot was in the lead and a half a second clear of Seeley with Talbot relegated to third. That then became fourth as Kerr, recognising the break championship rival Linfoot was making, claimed third.

Linfoot doubled his advantage next time around with third placed Kerr now 2.3s in arrears whilst Olsen moved up to fourth at the expense of the fast-starting Talbot. Further back, Lewis Rollo had taken over sixth on the IN Competition Aprilia.

Olsen grabbed third from Kerr at Surtees on lap six but at the front, Linfoot continued to pull clear and with five laps to go, his advantage over Seeley crept above two seconds for the first time.

The former BSB race winner continued to control proceedings for the remainder of the race, easing off on the final lap to take the chequered flag by 2.7s for his fifth win of the season but it was Olsen who claimed second after he overtook Seeley at Sheene Curve on the penultimate lap.

Kerr had a lonely ride into fourth and now sits ten points behind Linfoot in the championship standings whilst Talbot and Rollo took fifth and sixth respectively. Ashley Beech, Brayden Elliott, Luke Hedger and Ben Luxton completed the top ten.
