Bradley Ray made it three wins in four outings on the FAB Racing Yamaha as he won the Dickies British Supersport Feature race ahead of the Sprint race winner Mason Law on the Gearlink Kawasaki. James Westmoreland grabbed third place, and with it a three points lead in the title stakes, ahead of Tarran Mackenzie who ran a close fourth.
Ray had pole start and he headed off Law to lead into the first corner with Westmoreland third from Mackenzie as Ben Currie and Luke Jones tipped at Old Hall. Mackenzie nicked third place from Westmoreland at the end of the opening lap while Ray led Law by 0.091secs.
Law was riding hard to keep in touch with Law but at the same time was coming under pressure from Mackenzie who was beginning to open a gap on fourth placed Westmoreland. Just adrift of them David Allingham and Joe Francis were well placed, as was Andrew Irwin.
Allingham closed down on Westmoreland and then Irwin moved ahead of Francis while out front Ray as holding on to his lead, just from Law, then on the fifth lap Westmoreland was grass-tracking at the chicane dropping back into sixth place as the pack re-shuffled. Allingham was fourth from Irwin with Francis back into seventh.
Westmoreland was fighting back, taking Irwin, to go fifth just adrift of Mackenzie who had been eased out of third place by the determined Allingham while out front Law took the lead a Lodge on the seventh lap, crossing the line 0.059secs ahead of Ray.
Law was being pressurised by Ray with Allingham fast on the attack in third while Westmoreland, charging hard to avenge his earlier error was closing in on fourth placed Mackenzie. The fight was intensifying for third place with Mackenzie easing ahead of Allingham at Lodge with Westmoreland a couple of bike lengths further back.
Out front Law was holding firm, a quarter of a second up on Ray with three laps to go, then Westmoreland found a way ahead of Allingham and then turned his attention to Mackenzie with little between them to set up a last lap thriller.
Ray grabbed the lead at Island Bends , Law closed back in while Westmoreland took Mackenzie for third with Allingham fifth from Francis, Irwin and Joe Collier.
