Pacedayz Yamaha’s Kyle Ryde won his third Pirelli National Superstock 600 race on the bounce this afternoon at Oulton Park, taking full advantage of title rival Andy Reid crashing out of the lead.
FFX Yamaha’s Reid took the holeshot from pole position and began to pull clear, along with championship leader by one point, Kyle Ryde. However, at half race distance, Reid tucked the front at Shell Hairpin, handing the lead to Ryde.
The youngest ever British Champion broke clear before the Be Wiser Kawasaki duo of Joe Collier and Nick Anderson reeled him in. On the last lap Collier was tucked in to the slipstream of Ryde and pulled out to make a move at the final corner of Lodge but couldn’t better Ryde on the brakes.
The Jacksdale rider held on to the chequered flag by a quarter of a second and increased his championship lead to 26 points.
Anderson came through in third place ahead of Malachi Mitchell-Thomas, who picked up his best result of the year in his debut season. Trik Moto Kawasaki’s Mason Law had a lonely ride to fifth place, five seconds clear of Tarran Mackenzie who battled to sixth place ahead of Ben Currie and reigning Motostar champion, Joe Francis. Also involved in that battle for sixth and rounding out the top ten were James Lodge and Dutchman Kevin Van Luewen
