Profile Triumph’s Luke Stapleford bagged his second Motorpoint British Supersport of the year after posting a 1.38’200 in the closing stages of the session.
Smiths Triumph’s Jake Dixon held provisional pole position before Stapleford jumped to the top of the timesheets on his first lap with brand new rubber in the rear of his middleweight machine.
Dixon managed to hold on to second place on the gird despite a late charge from Gearlink Kawasaki’s Glenn Irwin. The Northern Irishman ended a tenth shy of Dixon but still claimed the last front row spot.
Team Traction Control’s Andy Reid will front the second row of the grid this afternoon ahead of fellow Supersport rookie Kyle Ryde.
Reid’s Floridian teammate, James Rispoli, rounds of the second row of the grid, a second shy of Stapleford’s pole position pace.
EVO leader Joe Collier fronts the third row of the grid after leaping three places with his last lap of the session.
Collier and his Haribo Starmix Triumph demoted Gearlink Kawasaki’s Ben Wilson to eighth and Appleyard Macadam’s Danny Webb to ninth place.
Dean Hipwell will front the fourth row of the grid ahead of returning Supersport rider Luke Hedger, who is back in the class aboard a Gearlink Kawasaki, and Appleyard Macadam’s Harry Hartley.
