Jamie Perrin returns to British Supersport spearheading a three-rider Ready4Racing Vision Kawasaki team for 2022.
Set up by in 2019 to help encourage younger riders achieve their dreams of becoming top level road racers, the Ready4Racing Vision Kawasaki team expands to triple its support for the coming season.
For 2022 R4R Vision will run three riders within the British Superbike support classes as Dan Brooks and Chris Johnson compete in Junior Superstock 600 alongside Perrin’s BSS assault, with ‘Team Green’ support for the trio across the season.
Having contested the British GP2 Cup in 2021, finishing in seventh place and securing five podiums, Perrin will return to the main Supersport class aboard a Ninja ZX-6R 636.
Brooks focuses his attention for another year on the stock 600 machine, having made good progress throughout 2021 to finished 16th overall in the class despite his last minute replacement status, while Johnson steps up from Junior Supersport to run alongside.
“I’m excited to be joining the R4R Vision Team for 2022, they have given me the opportunity to get back into the Supersport class which is where I have had all my best results in the past,” Perrin confirmed. “Using the Kawasaki ZX-6R and the teams knowledge of the bike from running it in the stocks, there is no reason we won’t be fighting for podiums every weekend. I can’t wait for the season to get started.”
“I’m really pleased to be carrying on the journey with the R4R Vision team in 2022,” said Brooks. “Working with Gino has been great for myself, learning from his experience has been helping me move forward. After a challenging 2021 I know what I need to focus on so I’m grateful for the opportunity to have the consistency with staying with the team and moving closer to our goal. Thank you Elliott, Dan and Gino for keeping me on-board and having the same vision for the future.”
“Words alone can’t express how happy I am for this opportunity with the R4R Vision Team,” added Johnson. “After witnessing the success of the team in previous years, I’m confident that they will provide me with a competitive package where we can focus on constantly progressing. Currently I am looking forward to testing with Gino and the team in Spain, where I can become more comfortable and improve my riding on the new bike. The best way to thank Elliott, Daniel and Gino is with a strong performance, and that is what I intend to do.”
