Leon Haslam’s ROKiT Haslam Racing will make an appearance on the international stage this weekend, albeit in the Supersport class, with a wild-card outing in Catalunya for Eugene McManus.
The Irishman returns to the WorldSSP class aboard a Ducati Panigale V2 as part of preparations for the season ahead in the British Supersport Championship.
He will do so with support from ROKiT Haslam Racing, the team built around ex-WorldSBK rider Haslam in British Superbikes, the 46-time race winner set to ride a BMW M 1000 RR under the banner after the official formation of his own team over the winter.
For McManus - who will be partnered by his brother James in BritishSSP - the wild-card chance in Spain sees him build on a collection of caps he has amassed in the international class, including stints with WRP-Wepol Yamaha and Puccetti Kawasaki.
"I'm excited for the opportunity to compete at Catalunya,” said McManus, who has achieved two podiums at British Supersport level.
“Every race is a chance to learn and improve, and I'm grateful for the support of my team and sponsors."
