Redline KTM’s Scott Deroue is the HEL Performance British Motostar Moto3 Champion, after beating RS Racing’s Taz Taylor in Silverstone.

The Dutchman was neck and neck with the British title rival but in the end was just too strong and crossed the finishing line in first ahead of Taylor and Banks Racing’s Edward Rendell. Taylor finished second in the overall standings.

The race was tight and frantic with Jorel Boerboom and fellow countyman Vasco Van Der Valk completing the top five. Josh Owens has already been crowned the 125 Champion and finished top of the class today, and thirteenth overall.

RS Racing’s Georgina Polden rounded off the top ten with a solid finish at the English circuit. But it has been a tough season for Deroue but he fought hard to claim the title and his tenth victory of the season.

“It was a difficult race, and I am enjoying the BSB series. Everything was perfect and it has been an amazing season,” said Deroue at the track.

“But it has been difficult as I want to win every race and I am happy and I want to thank my team and my sponsors. I am going to enjoy this victory very much - and it is great.”
