SIlverstone BSB: Supersport double for Kennedy

Jack Kennedy once again held off Alastair Seeley today to sweep the Dickies British Supersport races and leave Silverstone with perfect points.

The Colin Appleyard/Macadam rider was locked in a three-way battle nearly all race long as Seeley and his team-mate Brad Jones, along with GP2 rider Kyle Ryde, threatened the podium.

Jones was the quickest off the line as he led Seeley and Kennedy into Copse for the first of 26 laps, but EHA Racing's Seeley found a way through on lap three.

But the two were locked in a back and forth battle at the front as Kennedy kept touch in third, while RS Racing's Ryde and IDWe man Sam Wilford tagged onto the back while Lee Johnston and Jamie Perrin joined the leading train.

Johnston slotted into fifth ahead of Wilford just as Kalex-mounted Ryde began having a look at defending champ Kennedy for third, but Kennedy found a way ahead of his team-mate before Ryde followed him through as the two sat lurking behind leader Seeley.

The front four was all change as Jones and Ryde continued their tussle for third while Seeley and Kennedy diced for the lead.

But Kennedy made a decisive move at Brooklands and Seeley took to the grass at the inside of Luffield, losing crucial ground and allowing Kennedy to power to the double as Seeley fended off Ryde for second.
