Smiths Triumph’s Graeme Gowland has hailed his first double Motorpoint British Supersport win as a ‘dream come true’, and after waiting nearly four years for a victory, two come at once at Snetterton.
Gowland is now second in the overall championship standings, and was able to get the better of his Australian team-mate, Billy McConnell, not once – but twice during the race weekend. The Hexham rider made the two races look simple, but according to the rider it was far from easy.
“I waited four year to get this Supersport win, and two comes at once. I can’t quite believe it. I have had some hard times over the last few years and we have got through it and I’m so happy,” said Gowland, speaking to bikesportnews.com.
“I really enjoy Snetterton, as its is track that suits my riding style. The race want easily at all as its quite easy to lose concentration, but we got there, and I'm feeling great, and I can't wait for the next round."
