Rob Guiver grabbed both race wins in the Ducati TriOptions Cup this weekend, extending his championship lead over Sean Neary as he smashed the existing lap record.
The former British 125 champion’s double marks his first clean sweep since April of 2016, and gives him a 28-point lead over Oulton Park winner Neary.
Ducati Romford/Hyside Racing’s Guiver led every lap of Saturday’s race to cross the line 4.5s clear of Highsparks Motorsport’s Lewis Rollo and Phil Atkinson.
In today’s 10-lap scrap, Guiver once again led lights to flag and despite an early fight with Rollo, the Scotsman lost touch and had to settle for second once again while South African Atkinson bagged another third.
The double winner’s penultimate lap of race two gave him the new lap record, as he smashed Joe Collier’s mark from last year with a 1:53.015.
