Snetterton BSB: Third Superstock 1000 pole for buoyant Buchan

Tsingtao’s Danny Buchan will start the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 race at Snetterton from the number one spot on the gird, after easing to his third successive pole during qualifying this afternoon.

The Essex lad leads the championship with the maximum 50 points, after winning every race so far in the championship, and he hopes to replicate his victorious form tomorrow. He puts his winning formula down to being fitter than ever and ‘gelling’ really well with his Kawasaki and crew.

“The boys did a mega job this weekend, and we have maintained pole position, and it is my third pole in a row - which is great,” said Buchan, speaking to bikesportnews.com at the track.

“If you talk to everyone in the paddock the rumour is that I am riding a factory or Superbike – which im not. I have just gelled with the bike and I have a good crew behind me.

“Being pole for tomorrow’s race is nice as it makes my job easier. I am a lot fitter than last year and it is going really. and well despite the crash yesterday it has been a perfect year so far, and I want to keep that going and hopefully we don’t upset anymore people.”
