Pirelli National Superstock 1000 star Victor Cox bounced back from the disappointment of Steve Brogan having to wrap up his team at Brands Hatch with a points-scoring ride at Thruxton.
The Wiltshire rider only collected his replacement ZX-10R roadbike from MSS boss Nick Morgan last Monday and new mechanic Ally Grant set about turning into a racebike, with a little help from Complog Performance Centre.
The weekend started slowly with improvements being made to the bike all the way up to morning warm-up Cox qualified in 20th position but still was positive that the changes made to the bike would give him the set up he needed. A challenging race it would be but Cox came from 20th through to 11th.
“I am happy with the result after a hard start to the weekend, but thanks to all that helped to make it happen. It was great to come away in the points and something to build on ready for this weekend at Oulton Park,” said Cox.
“Thanks to Mark Hanna at Road and Race Performance, Sam Coventry and team for allowing me to work alongside and to Nick Morgan at MSS Performance.
“Thanks to my team for getting me to this point it’s all down to you that I’m back out there, and to my sponsors and everyone that came to support me.”
