Thruxton BSB: Kennedy ready to turn up the heat

Mar-Train Yamaha’s Jack Kennedy is ready for a scorching weekend at Hampshire’s high speed Thruxton circuit.

The reigning Quattro British Supersport Champion sits 78-points ahead in the 2022 title fight as round six approaches with the Dubliner eager to extend his advantage at the season’s halfway stage despite the increasing heatwave forecast.

“Preparations are going really well for the weekend, we are putting the hours of work in at home,” Kennedy said ahead of the Hampshire visit. "We have a full weekend ahead of us at Thruxton of 30 plus degrees everyday and in a strange way, I am sort of looking forward to the challenge of the higher temperatures and how hot it’s going to be and to see how everyone is going to perform.

“I know I will be up for it because it’s nothing I haven’t experienced before with racing in the World Championship etc.

“Thruxton is a track I really like and I’m really looking forward to riding the Mar-Train R6 there and seeing how we get on. I know the team have given me a great bike and I can’t wait to get there, see the team and ride the R6 in the sunshine.”
