Pacedays Yamaha’s Kyle Ryde claimed his second consecutive Pirelli National Superstock 600 victory, coming out on top of a four-man battle for the win.
FFX Yamaha’s Andy Reid took the holeshot from the front row but drifted wide at the first corner, quickly dropping back to fourth. Ryde took the lead as a result, with WD40 Kawasaki’s Tarran Mackenzie sitting in second.
Reid began to make his way through the field, sat behind Australian Levi Day, before fellow Northern Irishman Andrew Irwin unceremoniously collided with both Day and Reid, knocking the pair out of the race.
Reid then handed the lead to Mackenzie before Nick Anderson and Ben Godfrey began to challenge for the lead. As the quartet came on to the last lap Ryde was in the lead, and held off challenges from behind on the brakes into the final club chicane to take victory. Ryde leaves Thruxton with a championship lead of just one point, after Reid’s crash.
Nick Anderson fought off Mackenzie on the drag to the flag to take second, his first podium of the year. Tsingtao Kawasaki’s Ben Godfrey came through in fourth ahead of Dan Stamper.
Trik Moto’s Mason Law held on to a lonely sixth place, just ahead of the a mammoth battle for the final points places. Malachi Mitchell-Thomas came out on top in seventh ahead of Joe Collier, Ben Stafford, Aleix Aulestia.
