Karel Abraham's AB Cardion MotoGP team have revealed that the Ducati Desmosedici he will ride in next year's series will retain the 90-degree V configuration and will make 250bhp, pushing it to a top speed of 225mph.
The squad issued information about their operations for this seasons and right at the top it states: "The new Ducati Desmosedici GP12 is powered by four-stroke 1000 ccm engine with four cylinders and power of 250HP, which allows maximum speed of 360km per hour."
Crew chief Marco Grana goes on to explain: "Comparing to the last year’s model, the new bike has completely modified concept. For example, carbon chassis is replaced by deltabox aluminium frame. At first glance it may appear that the bike is similar to the last year’s model, but under the fairing is a series of significant changes."
On the fairing you will not find the downforce-creating wings in 2012 but the rest of the components on the GP12 seem to be the same with Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes and the obligatory Bridgestone tyres.
