Ai Ogura has made the decision to withdraw from this weekend's Indonesian Grand Prix due to pain in his right wrist.
After withdrawing from his home Grand Prix last Sunday, Ai Ogura has now withdrawn from the Indonesian Grand Prix this weekend.
The MotoGP rookie is still suffering from pain in his right wrist after an accident at the San Marino Grand Prix. Ogura missed the post-race test at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, but returned for the Japanese Grand Prix.
During his first home Grand Prix as a MotoGP rider, Ogura qualified in 13th before going on to finish ninth in the Sprint Race, securing a single point across the Japanese Grand Prix.
But now the Trackhouse Racing rider has been ruled out of his fourth Grand Prix this season due to injuries.
A statement from Trackhouse Racing regarding Ai Ogura reads:
"Despite an assessment and treatment in Japan since [Motegi], his condition means that it has been decided he cannot ride his Trackhouse RS-GP25 safely at Mandalika.
"He will attend the unveiling of the Trackhouse RS-GP25 bikes with a new Gulf livery - chosen after fans were given the opportunity to select their favourite livery design for the races here, in Indonesia and the Grand Prix of Malaysia - which takes place on Thursday afternoon, at the track, and then he will return to Japan to continue his recovery.
"After having to miss the Grand Prix in Motegi, this is a bitter blow for Ai and the team wishes him a speedy recovery and looks forward to having him back for the Grand Prix of Australia, at Phillip Island, October 17-19."
This weekend, Trackhouse Racing will only field a single Aprilia RS-GP, with regular rider Raul Fernandez being the sole rider on track from the American team.
