Throughout the weekend, the Spaniard has been on the pace at the sharp end, and converted his Practice pace into pole position.

"I am super happy," Marquez told TNT Sports after claiming his first pole position of the season.

"Already the first time attack was good, and I felt confident from that. When the first time attack is good, it gives you confidence, you can put things together and improve.

"Anyway, I am super happy. All the way through the weekend, I have felt super good, really at the point, and I have not been making mistakes.

"But now it is time for the Sprint and main race, the times that give you points. I have to be really concentrated and keep going."

After Practice on Friday, Marquez admitted that he was searching for a better feeling from the front of his Ducati.

The 29-year-old was asked after qualifying if he had found the feeling he was searching for, but admitted that he had not and reverted to his Practice setup.

"No," he admitted.

"If you want, I will lie to you, but no. We tried something this morning, but it was not working as we expected. So, we went back for Qualifying, and the bike was working like it was yesterday.

"With less temperature, the problem is smaller, so we can extract more from the front of the bike."
